AMANDA - MOM
My Lydia mentor sat with me and let me ask her questions. She seemed genuinely interested in my future, and she listened to me. For the first time, I realized that I had not gone to far to be loved. She introduced me to the love of Christ, and my life changed for the better. I was no longer alone because I had my Savior. My mentor believed in me, and I began to believe in myself. Life continues to be very hard, but I know I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
KELLEY - CHURCH
When I began to meet with my young mom, I felt like I didn’t know what to say or how to reach her. But as time went by, we began to share more and more. I told her things about my life and in turn she began to tell me things about her life. We talked about our struggles, our dreams, and often the subject of my love for the Lord Jesus was spoken. As she began to trust me more, she began to ask lots of questions, and I answered them as honestly as I could. I was honored to be present when she gave birth to her baby boy! Our friendship continues years later.
